Bay 101 Spread Limit Championship

Dan Alspach is known for being a bit eccentric, but always has a great time. Dan has made the final table in 4 of the last 5 tournaments he has entered including two wins. Scott Numoto suffered a brutal beat when he had Dan all in with Ac-Jc vs Alspach's A-7 offsuit and the flop came J-10c-8c. When the turn came a 9 Dan made his miracle straight and Scott could have still won with a club or split with a 7 or Queen. Not to happen and the tournament was over two hands later when Alspach's 7's held up.

Shannon Elizabeth's Charity Event

October 09, 2005

Maryann and I were picked up in a limo from the Beverly Hilton and brought to what I am told is a $20,000,000 residence in the hills. The charity event was for Shannon Elizabeth's Animal Avengers which is a group responsible for assisting animals needing homes. BoDog.com sponsored the event and CEO Calvin Ayre was again the life of the party. Shannon Elizabeth takes Poker very serious and of the two events I have run with her as a player she has finished 2nd and 4th.
There were some pretty incredible looking women at the tournament and party (none as beautiful as my wife, however). Also in attendance was Chris Ferguson, Phil Gordon, Vince Van Patten, and Rafe Furst.
